Knowledge model and Innovation - Tokyo University














Peter Drucker had said "Japan would get in trouble for generating new ideas under the global economy when faced to the new age, so to speak "Information Economy". In other words, there would be no ways in the future to lead the art of innovation in a global economy.

Yesterday I participated in the seminar related to "the art of innovation, was held in Tokyo University.














The title of this seminar is "Knowledge model and Innovation". In the beginning, Mr. Komiyama who is president of Tokyo University told the latest trends and his expectations on it. It is true that innovation on society would be important, but it would not be sufficient for people to have utilizations of knowlegde for themselves.

He also described that it would be more and more important to create a positive experience from a customer or societies who could extracted useful knowledge from the enormous informations.














The seminar invited the speaker, Mr. Dave Blakely who is a technical strategy director of IDEO. In case of IDEO innovation, it was important not only to get informations from their knowledge databases but also to make a prototype at the early stage of product developments. Mr. Blakely said it would be also important points , "Who is an expert" and "Corporate Culture" in his speech.
