NEC announced a NetBook,“LaVie Light”.


NEC Corporation and NEC Personal Products Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation, announced that NEC Personal Products has developed a new series of notebook PCs - the “LaVie Light” - designed for users who need a PC for easy access to the Internet and e-mail applications. The first model in the series becomes available for sale today in Japan.
The LaVie Light, which targets the “NetBook” market, features Intel’s(R) Atom(TM) processor N270, a maximum HDD capacity of 160 GB, and the official Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Home Edition Service Pack3. It also offers the support, quality, and user friendliness that customers have come to expect from NEC, which the company has cultivated through its long years of experience in the personal computer market.
